In the City of Palm Springs, many great golf courses are open to the public at reasonable rates ...In fact, the Palm Springs & Palm Desert Resorts area is often referred to as the "golf capital of the world," with more than 130 area golf courses, great weather and natural beauty adding to the area's popularity as a vacation golf destination.

The winter months from December through February, the temperatures are cool with the highs rarely getting out of the seventies. Play in the summer is a different story. June through September the area, high temperatures average near 104 degrees F, so use sun-screen, wear a hat with a broad rim and drink plenty of water.

Note: mid-September through mid-November golf courses in the area will be overseeding. Not all of the 130 courses in the Desert close at exactly the same time, so there is always plenty of world-class golf to be played!
